Cayetano Gea replied to David Brazier's discussion JEALOUSY in the group MEN & WOMEN
"Estoy de acuerdo, aunque quizá los latinos seamos un poco más intensos para todo, tanto para amar como para odiar :)  Pero, efectivamente, no creo que se pueda (ni deba) generalizar. Bombu es igual para todos"

"Thanks for the answer, David. Good to read you Spanish. En mi experiencia, no es tan común que alguien de Inglaterra hable español.  Namo Amida Bu"

Cayetano Gea replied to David Brazier's discussion JEALOUSY in the group MEN & WOMEN
"Hello, David, and greetings from Madrid. In my opinion, jealousy is not love, but possession, as we learn by Dharma and life. I'm very fortunate (I might done something very good in a previous life) to share my life with Ana, my wife, who among…"

Cayetano Gea replied to David Brazier's discussion WHAT DO WOMEN REALLY WANT? (Or men, for that matter) in the group MEN & WOMEN
"Well, yes. Unfortunately, my country has two irreconcilable bands... There is a lack of compassion on both sides."

Cayetano Gea replied to David Brazier's discussion NOT MONOTHEISM in the group BUDDHISM
"Great points, sir! Nothing to add, I totally agree with you. After point 3, yes, I've heard about that (I saw a BBC documentary if I recall). Perhaps if Buddha and Jesus meet, they'll find many common points, more than their followers for…"

Cayetano Gea replied to David Brazier's discussion WHAT DO WOMEN REALLY WANT? (Or men, for that matter) in the group MEN & WOMEN
"Yes, I agree. I guess I rebel against that fact, mostly because I radically fight for women rights, that women vote more conservative, but you got a point. Perhaps it is also a generation matter: young people vote less, and old women (at least, in…"

Cayetano Gea replied to David Brazier's discussion NOT MONOTHEISM in the group BUDDHISM
"From one side, I guess it's a matter of translation to European backgrounds. And so we speak in Buddhism about faith, sin, hell and pure lands. From other side, I think that it's a matter of language economy. And so we read about…"

Cayetano Gea replied to David Brazier's discussion WHAT DO WOMEN REALLY WANT? (Or men, for that matter) in the group MEN & WOMEN
"Hello! Well, I guess it's the same in my country: 53% of women who voted, voted to the extreme-right wing Spanish party. But that's not the point, the point is that more than 60% of Spain population didn't vote. I guess it's the…"

My name's Cayetano and I'm from Madrid. I have been implied in Dharma study and practice since the last 8 years. In some way of another, my path had crossed through Amida Buddhism here and there. As a very lazy person I am, reciting of the Nembutsu it has been the only constant one during this time. I have recently completed the ITP course and now I want to do the V22 program.
How did you hear about Eleusis?
I received an invitation for Dharmavidya.

Colleague Buddhists - I'm getting to know Medicine Buddha as I haven't met him before and he's come into my life at just the right time.

Anything you'd be willing to share about your personal relationship with him / stories/ facts / books etc. I'd be very grateful. Deep bow.

Wrong

I am about to do, or have already done, something wrong,

Which will cause me to be responsible for something terrible.

How can I prevent this from happening, or undo what is already done?

I even feel responsible for others' atrocities I don't even know.

There are accidents,

There are mistakes,

And there is deliberately doing wrong.

Why do I feel responsible for others'…

The love your neighbour campaign in Birmingham came about after the decision to leave the EU. There was an increase in racist attacks and the Church of England hierarchy felt they should take action. What they did was encourage schools and other community venues to put free of charge bright orange banners on fencing etc with the words love your neighbour on them. At the moment funding has been obtained to make more banners to replace any of the 1000 that have gone up already and to encourage… Continue
