MONDAY 13 December ~ For Peace

Spent this afternoon bringing to the surface a rock estimated to weigh about 350 lb to incorporate in the crazy paving path we are laying. Once that is in place it should be pretty stable.

In the evening in honour of the full moon we had a fire to the goddess Eirene as a prayer for peace in the year ahead. The fire blazed mightily and then as it died down the moon rose behind the trees, surmounting layers of thin cloud. We say that the moon rises, but it might be more true to say that the earth bows downward before her.

  • Yes, I'm sure, it is the earth who bows toward the moon and much people admiring the moon bow in their hearts too.

    With love _/\_

  • Moving that rock was a little adventure in and of itself. Perhaps that rock will rest undisturbed in its new spot for another hundred thousand years. Or maybe some human will decide to move the path again one day.
  • Sounds like a wonderful sight.
