TUESDAY 23 Aug ~ Neighbourly Cooperation

Today I helped a neighbour take a trailer load of rubbish to the tip and, in return, borrowed the trailer for a few hours in order to go into town and pick up some timber I had ordered. It is nice to have such mutual cooperation locally. It also gave him a nudge to dispose of the heap of rubbish that had been accumulating for six months. It was the first time I had driven with a trailer on the back. All went well. I was particularly pleased to have managed to turn it around with a three (or rather five) point turn in our yard.

The weather is very hot again today. Adam has gone off to the forest to cut wood. I have not done anything energetic.
