A colloquium in Utrecht with Buddhist teacher David Brazier.
Topics that can be dealt with are, among others:
the meaning of the teacher-disciple relationship, the early and later traditions of Buddhism, the difference between being a disciple and being a student, the humanity of teachers, the importance of sangha, the balance between walking the path alone and depending upon the support and guidance of the Buddhas, the similarity and difference between spiritual guidance and therapy, the practice of discipleship in the contemporary world, vows, commitment and liberation.
We will survey these questions together with David Brazier, author of several books as ‘Zentherapy’, ‘The feeling Buddha’ and ‘Love and its disappointment’.
We will do zazen together, kinhin and have dialogues and mutual inquiries to clarify these issues.
Our weekend and workshops are open for everyone with some experience in (Zen)meditation. In the weekend we will communicate in English.
155 euro.
