This is the first of a series of art pieces which will total an estimated 90 items. This is ink, watercolor, acrylic on test page from the Threefold Lotus Sutra. I have begun a visual exploration, celebration, illumination of the Lotus Sutra. The first chapter, Introductory, speaks of "one does not hear without..." We do not hear the teachings of the Buddha deeply in our lives without doing something. We need to be open, we need to listen, we need to be willing to embrace, to change, and on the list could go. We also need to be present. We come from some place for some reason, to do some thing.
