Pureland practice and Zen meditation. In many parts of the Buddhist world, Pureland and meditation are practised together. For example in China Pure Land and Zen are known as the two practice schools (in contrast to more philosophical teachings). In this retreat we shall do much practice together, both intensively in the meditation hall and extensively in daily life and in communion with nature, and we shall learn about the relationships between Pure Land, meditation and Zen.
