Today we travelled from Mons to 's-Hertogenbosch. During the trip the landscape changed from a grey and wet environment into a winter wonderland... but only briefly. The driving conditions through Belgium became quite challenging with melting snow on the road, heavy rain and many passing trucks throwing up walls of spray. As we got into Netherlands the weather became milder, though still cold. We got into -'s-Hertogenbosch and soon found the monastery where we are to stay.
We are here this weekend here because David is invited for the weekend to my old sangha from Zen Centrum Den Bosch. This last three months they have been reading together the book Zen Therapy in Dutch. So now they want to have David come to talk about his book and “deepen” their understanding.
This afternoon we spent some time with Henk and Anja, the owners of the Zen Centre to prepare the weekend. We ended the evening with a delicious meal together in a nice Moroccan restaurant.
It is very nice to see Henk and Anja again. It will be a weekend about Zen Therapy, religion, Dogen, the Trikaya Buddha.... a weekend in which I will meet some good sangha friends again. We are very looking forward to this special weekend.
