I'm busy preparing for my bike ride to Santiago de Compestela.
All kind of things, from gear to route booklets.
I decided to start with the St. Jacobs Route from Netherlands to Orléans, then go to the Euro Velo 6 (along the Loire) to La Ville au Roi (Eulisis).
After my stay in Eulisis where I'm really looking forward to, I pick up again on the route "along ancient paths" to the Pyrenees.
Nice to see that this pilgrimage route runs right past La Ville au Roi!
As soon as you start preparing, the fact again exceeds how attached we are to certainties and material things. I already sleep badly for over a week;-)
I think of having to take everything or it will not be good;-)
My aim was to carry up to 15 kg of luggage (slightly too optimistic I knew)
But I am now with 28.2 kg, of which 3.7 kg of food !!!!
I have it slightly warm hahahhaha
I am now for the ultimate challenge to reduce this weight by 4 kg.

Yes, La Ville au Roi (Eleusis) is very close o one of the routes to Santiago de Compostello. We are looking forward to seeing you when you get here.
