This afternoon the Amida Sangha had arranged a celebration event to mark my 70th birthday. It was a lovely occasion. Many people came including some I had not seen for a long time. My English children and grandchildren were also present. There was a very nice ceremony led by Susthama Kim in which I was honoured with a special robe, a sharing circle, and a large buffet meal. It was a fine time for people to meet one another as well as to bring me love, greetings and gifts. I was very moved by the whole affair.
