Thank you, everyone, for the warmth of your welcome. I feel part of the Sangha already! I do not have easy access to a Zen Sangha where I live now, which is about an hour outside Cape Town, so it will be wonderful to follow the teachings and discussions on this site.
A very hearty welcome Maja to the site. Of course whilst never having met in many ways we know each other very well, don't we? It would indeed be something if at some point you could visit us here, perhaps as Dharmavidya says, to come to a retreat.
A very warm welcome to the group Maja. I am from Africa - grew up in Namibia and studied and lived in Cape Town for 8 years. I have lived in England since 2003 and now feel like a true citizen of the world. I joined the Amida sangha in 2009 and enjoy the experiential learning and the nurturing of creativity that is very much the Amida way. I found friendship, love, a sense of community and support and wish the same for you. Juline
