"I think the last sentence is just beautiful! It evokes in me images of a gentle but nimble weightlessness and light and I will share it with my sangha next week.  Thank you. Mx"

"I have to work out the navigation on this site a little bit still :)  I may be answering you on another page now.  But many thanks for your warm welcome to the group.  Yes, wouldn't it be something if I could attend a retreat and meet one day?  That…"

"Hi Juline,
Thank you for your warm welcome message!
I know Namibia quite well.  I have often travelled there.  We used to spend quite a lot of holidays in Swakopmund and have often driven up as far as Etosha and into Botswana, but not for a few…"

"I hope that conditions will make it possible one day to travel to a retreat - that would be quite something!  Meanwhile, thank you for your inspirational teachings on this site.  "

  • Thank you, everyone, for the warmth of your welcome. I feel part of the Sangha already! I do not have easy access to a Zen Sangha where I live now, which is about an hour outside Cape Town, so it will be wonderful to follow the teachings and discussions on this site.

  • A very hearty welcome Maja to the site. Of course whilst never having met in many ways we know each other very well, don't we? It would indeed be something if at some point you could visit us here, perhaps as Dharmavidya says, to come to a retreat.

  • A very warm welcome to the group Maja.  I am from Africa - grew up in Namibia and studied and lived in Cape Town for 8 years.  I have lived in England since 2003 and now feel like a true citizen of the world.  I joined the Amida sangha in 2009 and enjoy the experiential learning and the nurturing of creativity that is very much the Amida way.  I found friendship, love, a sense of community and support and wish the same for you. Juline

  • Welcome to our network. Yes, it would be very fine if you could come to a retreat. In the meantime I hope that you will get to know people via this site, enjoy the teachings and contribute to the discussions. I think you are our first member from Africa, so now we have members in every continent (except Antarctica). Welcome.
